Assignment: Choose at least two of the books we’ve read this semester and examine some theme/idea that is visible in the novels. This can be anything from the way women are portrayed to how certain characters act and why. Literary analyses help to focus your thinking about texts so you can express a valid opinion. This means, of course, that you need an argument (your stated opinion that someone could argue against, not just a fact) and a reason why this argument is interesting or important (why we care). ell as provide detailed bibliographical information (a work cited page).
